Just to clarify......I am not the one who said bad things and I do know Jesus, lol. I never say anything bad or hurtful about a contestant because I've been on the bad side of these boards before and I know it can hurt. In any regard, I wanted to say something about Keelie Jones. I don't think I've ever seen a more polarizing contestant discussed on this board. Here is my opinion of Keelie. I first noticed this tall Amazon when she was Emerald Ridge Teen and thought she would eventually become Miss NC. I'm of the opinion that when she's at her peak performance, she is Miss America Top 5 potential. Yes, she was a little too sure of herself this past year as the returning runner up. She is also a loose cannon and would not be a timid, docile, queen. I don't know her well, but she strikes me as super competitive. I do not see her competing this year. You say you don’t say hurtful things here but what is helpful or kind about pointing out she’s gained weight? I would imagine she’s aware of her own body. And why refer to her as Amazon.. that’s not kind either. You say you know Jesus but I can’t imagine the Jesus I know saying those things even if they are “true”. HP could very well get a NF talent award and depending on which group she lands in after lottery could determine her potential for top 10. There are several other vocalist who will most likely beat her in talent including two that haven’t won yet but they will. Perhaps you and I are not on the same page when it comes to the term "Amazon." I consider Amazon a supreme compliment. It is used in the fashion industry to describe tall, statuesque, super models. It does not mean weight, at least to me. In regard to mentioning her weight, I'm not saying anything that multiple people have pointed out, and in the scheme of things, it was probably the list points in fitness that kept her out of the 10. I'm am speaking in terms of how a coach would coach an athlete. This was meant as constructive criticism and it was backed up with plenty of praise. Keelie knows what she needs to do, and I doubt her skin is that thin after competing so long. She just needs to make a few minor tweaks when she gets ready to come back.
