If you’re doing this pageant for scholarship money do your research before choosing a local. This is not a hateful post. This is not a post to stir drama. There will be a public post coming in the next week but I know there are people here that don’t follow those accounts on social media. We love this organization but there are several local committees that have zero business running a local. Just inform yourself so you aren’t stuck in a difficult situation. We were warned prior and didn’t listen. Lesson painfully learned. Ask other title holders and their families about their experiences as well. Many won’t post on social media and I respect that but many could share their good and not so good experiences and help guide you to the locals that do things the right way and have integrity. Like I said love the program but there are a few local programs that need to be held accountable publicly. Private attempts have been made for at least the last 4 cycles. (NT) No name 14:09:32 09/18/25 Thu From what I understand Statesvilles Teen and both Queen and Teen Iredell and Mooresvilles Teen were told the money wasn’t there months after the pageant after several formal requests to be paid were made. Miss Statesville was paid in full very shortly after the December pageant. At last conversation Iredell Miss was paid but only after her family pushed the issue with a legal notice & Iredell Teen has been paid. No info on the other two teens if they were paid locally yet but they can’t get their state money until that local money is paid.
