This is the problem. You think you're above criticism, anything goes, and you should be able to get on stage and do whatever you want. That's not empowerment. That's laziness. Empowerment is recognizing your strengths AND your weaknesses and playing up your strengths, working on your weaknesses to turn them into strengths, and then doing everything possible to downplay the ones that remain.
