Hi Thin Bloke. First of all if you are at the game on Saturday, which I suspect you will be come down to the Britannia Inn, I'll be wearing an old shirt with the number 9 on the back, cheap drink during January.
I would agree that Plymouth are not at their best at the moment but we are still grinding out the results, which I will never complain about. How many fans do you think you will bring, more than the 31! Scunthorpe brought I hope.
Hope it's a good game I think the wholestadium will be open for the first time this season, see you down the Brit. Sarge Bideford Green.

Yes I agree Thin Bloke we should definitely have taken three points from the game - typical Torquay! Bumped into Kev and Jacko on the way out which was quite bizarre - of all the Oxford fans to bump into it happened to be them! They agreed we should have won too, but that's life down at the bottom of the league for you. Still can't understand Atkins's logic in only bringing on Omiwimyi for the last quarter of the game, he is class and will run rings around most third division defences.

It will be interesting to see how you fare against our little rivals from down the road on Saturday. It will be whoever gets it together on the day really - at both Home Park and now the Kassam the home teams have been poor against us, yet at Plainmoor have been slightly better. I'm going for a 2-2 draw.

At least we had more fans than Scunthorpe took to Argyle on Tuesday night, Kev and Jacko thought about 250 though that may be a bit on the high side.

Good to meet up again on Tuesday anyway before the match - have a good day on Saturday.

Sarge,
Don't know if I'll be there in time for a pint but I'll try and make it. Bus isn't leaving Oxford until 9.45 (strange because we left for Torquay earlier than that) and we will probably have to stop for a 45 minute break unless we have two drivers. Is the pub easy to find? I can't recall there being any pubs very near the ground from my many previous vists to Plymouth.

As for the number of travelling fans I would estimate about 300. Tuesday's performance won't have persuaded the waiverers to head south.

Dave,

So you did get to meet Kevin & Jacko again if not in the pub. I think it was the view of every Oxford fan I know that you should have won.

It's a little bit depressing that players such as Manny & Goodridge who provide excellent entertainment, particularly at this level of football, can't make the first XI whilst many cloggers and far less talented players do.

Cheers

Hi Thin Bloke. If you get there early enough the pub should be no problem to find. If you go onto the main road and head towards town it's on the opposite side of the road to Home Park, in the opposite direction to the petrol station. Ask anyone they will know. Should be ok for away fans, they usually shut it for Exe**r and Swansea games like that. They shut it for Hull but we don't know why.
We will probably leave for the groung about 2.15pm somthing like that, get a good seat near the choir!!
Have a good journey Sarge! PAFC Bideford
