Was it a good point for you today at Southend?
Oxford had us on the rack at stages today, forced us into mistakes, but for the first time in a while we have scored a few goals. What did you think about the game thin bloke? I thought the stewards were being a bit heavy handed in the away end and the amount of police was an absolute joke. All the best, Sarge.

For the second time in a week on our travels we should have taken all three points. But at least it's a vast improvement on performances earlier in the season (Ex**** at home, Halifax away), and also compared to those just after New Year (Cheltenham, Kidderminster), where some of the team were still suffering with hangovers. I'll be disappointed if we don't beat Leyton Orient next Saturday at Plainmoor.

I thought Plymouth were much the better team and could have won by more. We play with three centre halves who think someone else will take responsibility. This hands the initiative to the opposition fron the off. We played well towards the end of the first half but never looked like pulling it back in the second. There is a view among some Oxford supporters that you are the best team we have played this season. On that performance you are certainly out of your dodgy spell where you were just grinding out results.

The stewards were very heavy handed. Yes there were people standing up but for the most part they were at the back and blocking no one's view. Quite a few supporters were thrown out and there was a heated debate going on under the stand after the game.

I popped into the Brit at about 10 past 2 but it was so packed I thought it would have taken ages to get served and probably wouldn't have been able to locate you.. I also had an old fella with me who had an Oxford top on and there were some mutterings when we went in. So I gave up.

Very good point for Torquay at Roots Hall. There is a Sarfend supporter at work who thinks they have been playing well enough to get a play off place.

Cheers

Hi Thin Bloke. The brit was packed and thanks to the few Oxford fans because it was the best atmosphere in there for ages, good laugh. I didn't think that there was anymore standing than was going on in other parts of the ground.
I left for the ground about 2:12pm to get a good seat behind the goal at the back with the choir! good job i did because the poeple on the gates didn't have a clue where i was supposed to be going, they sent me to 3 different gates and i had to pay £5, but im a season ticket holder!
hope you enjoyed the day, looking back on it it was a great game (would I be saying this if we lost!) All the best for the rest of the season Sarge.
