Arise was my second Oldham purchase, following Viva which I fell in love with. Arise took me a really long time and I think because that it is now one of williams most enduring albums in my opinion. There is nothing like it in his catalog. David Grubbs piano against that raw guitar and sparse, mechanical percussion, combined with the songs. One of my favorite bill albums!

Blue Lotus feet is odd. I really like it, but If you have a difficult time with some of the mans's stranger work, you may not like it at first. songs are really short, sometimes bafflingly short/fragments. just will and guitar strum. it's great though, but something to pick up later when/if you decide, you want to have just about anything with the man's voice on it which i do.
