How do you suppose these stats come about; rpi, strenght of schedule, and quality of wins? They all come from the teams you play and the major networks primarily show major teams. So, you beat those majors, you have a great chance of dancing.

Like the old saying goes, "if a tree falls in the depths of a deserted forest does it make a sound?" Who knows or really cares? The same is true of NCAA basketball, if no one sees or witnesses the wins; it won't show in the rankings.
