I believe this was covered in another thread, but just to make it sure: in terms of conference changes next year, 2017 will be a transition year for the Sun Belt. As part of the transition up to the FBS, Coastal Carolina will officially promote up to the Sun Belt but will be ineligible for a bowl until next year, while Idaho will relegate themselves down to the FCS upon 2017’s conclusion. New Mexico State will also see its last year in the conference before becoming independent in 2018. The UAB Blazers make their triumphant return to Conference USA’s West Division after settling their economic problems with the University of Alabama system, giving the southern-based conference an even number of football teams again. They are immediately re-eligible for the post-season and bowl games upon their return.

On August 31, 2017, the next wave of helmet designs for the FBS will be incoming, and hopefully by then, there will be a lot less new designs to worry about.
