I found some logos of Northern Arizona

Block serif A in yellow with blue outline. During this period, the school was known as Arizona State College at Flagstaff and Arizona State College. Year of first use may be sooner. Can also be found without the blue outline.

Thanks. To the best of my knowledge only one of those has been used on a NAU helmet - the 'worm' logo around 1980. But photographs for that team are extremely scarce and some of the others may have been used. A simple "A" logo was used in the 1960s and a few different 'NAU' logos were used before the 'Jacks' logo was adopted in the 1990s(?).

NAU's school yearbooks have been digitized and published on the internet but they are exceptionally useless for our purposes, containing very few photographs of the football team and not even a single color photograph before the 1980s (as I recall). Similarly I found little information for NAU in opposing teams' yearbooks the last time I checked.

The basic appearance of some of the old helmet designs is known, but not the specifics, particularly the shade of blue, which I think varied over the years between quite dark and a medium/royal blue - this alone has prevented me from adding the c.1980 'worm' helmet to the website.
