Subject: Iowa State Year Updates

I have been going back through Iowa State game photos to check for the last time some of the helmets have been used among those that are listed as present on this site. I don't know what your policy is for the years listed on helmets that are in a recent rotation, but here are a few that Iowa State has seemed to ceased the use of, along with the last time they wore the helmet.

Helmet 'A' - Worn most games from 2008 to 2015. Last worn: Sept 9, 2017 vs. Iowa

Helmet 'B' - Worn twice in 2016. Last worn: Nov. 19, 2016 vs. Texas Tech

Helmet 'C' - Only and last time worn: Oct. 8, 2016 vs. Oklahoma State

Helmet 'E' - This one I am not entirely convinced is out of the rotation, but the fan animosity towards the logo and the poor game outcome during the only time the helmet was worn make it highly unlikely this design gets used again. Only and last time worn: Sep. 28, 2017 vs. Texas

Helmet 'F' - Only and last time worn: Sep. 16, 2017 vs. Akron

Hemlets 'D', 'G', 'H', and 'I' were used in promotional material prior to the season. These seem to be the primary usage helmets for 2018. Helmets 'J' and 'K' have come as mid season "mix and match" combos using elements from the four listed helmets for 2018.

I would say with a high level of confidence that helmets 'D', 'G', 'H', 'I', 'J', and 'K' are the only previously used helmets in the rotation for Iowa State.
