Subject: Sam Houston State Colors

I have been a big fan of your work for a while and find this very interesting. I just wanted to make a comment regarding the SHSU colors, probably not a real concern, but just something I thought I might share. I am from Montana and attended UM, and my wife is a SHSU alum so we went to the home and home series the two schools played in 2003-2004. It may have been fading in the Bearkats helmets, but the color was actually much more of a peach tint. The tint for the current helmet is very accurate, and as I said, this may have been fading or some other flaw, but sitting behind their bench in both Missoula and Huntsville, the color was not a true orange for sure. Keep doing what you do, I always enjoy visiting the site.

Some pics have a strong orange from the era, and some are just a bit softer. Not sure of exact year, but the KATS logo was that period. I found one a little faded.
