Subject: 2020 conference realignment thread

Anything? I can't remember any changes off the top of my head other than a few new teams and the three discontinued teams I haven't yet moved to the graveyard.

5, there are those 2 NJCAA schools from North Dakota dropping football.

D1
U. Conn. leaves AAC to FBS Independent
Dixie State joins D1 as FCS Independent
Tarleton State joins D1 as FCS independent
St. Thomas, Minn. and Augustana waiting for words if they join D1 in 2020 or 21.

D2
Limestone leaves Conference Carolinas to join SAC
Franciscan-Steubenville joins AMCC
St. Thomas, Minnesota got expelled from MIAC, waiting for word if they get a waiver to join D1. Possible for three CAC schools do the same since CAC is down to three including Christopher Newport and Salisbury.
St. Norbert joins NACC
CCAC's Robert Morris Illinois merges with Roosevelt and the team would now be under Roosevelt.
Red River could get North American University as they are applying for NAIA, and their football team go to the Sooner.

Independent NCCAA Trinity Bible dropped football.
St

Dakota College at Bottineau NJCAA dropped football
Northland Community College (ND) NJCAA dropped football.

Football wise...

FBS
-UConn moves out of the American and becomes an Independent program. The American could possibly scrap their divisional format as a result of this move.

FCS
-Jacksonville has dropped their program leaving the Pioneer League with 9 teams for one season as Presbyterian will join in 2021.
-Speaking of the Blue Hose, they will be a FCS Independent program next season along with two new schools at this level, Dixie State and Tarleton State (Both being members of the non-football WAC)
-North Dakota finishes their transition period from the Big Sky to the Missouri Valley Football Conference.

Division II
-St. Cloud State and Minnesota-Crookston have dropped football, giving the Northern Sun a little breathing room in terms of conference size.
-UNC Pembroke officially joins the Mountain East as an associate member
-Limestone, already a football associate member in the South Atlantic, becomes a full member of that conference.
-Edward Waters has been given an invite to the SIAC, but no ones knows when the move will take place.
-Barton and Erskine start their programs. Barton has a scheduling agreement with the South Atlantic Conference while Erskine doesn't have anything set in stone yet.

Division III
-St. Norbert jumps from the Midwest Conference to the NACC
-Keystone (PA) begins play in the ECFC

NAIA
-Florida Memorial and Madonna (MI) start their programs. Florida Memorial will be in the Mid South Conference's Sun Division while Madonna will be in the MSFA's Mideast Division in 2021. They'll be an independent program next season. Judson (IL) also joins the league that season and will be in the Midwest Division

Note also that due to the addition of Florida Memorial, Faulkner will shift to the Appalachian Division.
