Definitely 100% not NDSU.

The NDSU Bison have a pretty good digital yearbook archives site and I was able to research them all the way back to at least 1946. Also, they have never used the Buffalo Bills buffalo logo.

I will see if I can track down the other team in the photo. Howard and Livingstone also have yearbooks on-line.

That photo is probably not from 1970. Howard in 1970 had a buffalo logo that was identical to the Buffalo Bills.
The buffalo logo in that photo looks like it has an enlarged head! Looks like the buffalo has superior brain capabilities!

I stand corrected. It could be from 1970 as it looks like they used the Bills logo AND the Bills logo on steroids at the same time!
Still, not having much luck finding the other team in the photo.
The Livingstone stripe sequence for 1970 is different than the stripe sequence on the other team in the photo.

The fact that the photo credit is from Afro American Newspapers is a good indication that this was an HBCU game (ergo, Howard) and not North Dakota State. While not impossible, it's unlikely that that newspaper would have covered an NDSU game.
