There was another Division III team (Alfred State) whose entire team apparently wore those things last year. I posted a message here on that subject asking "what does this mean? What do i do?" but I don't think there was any response, probably because nobody has a good idea of how to deal with it. 😄 I still don't know!

The options seem to be:

1) come up with an image template for helmets with 'guardian caps' and represent those teams with such a template

2) ignore the 'guardian caps' and represent the helmet underneath, which seems impossible since we can't see what those helmets look like (other than maybe the shell color and facemask color)

3) Don't attempt to represent the helmets for teams using 'guardian caps' and instead note their usage

Number 1 above probably makes the most sense, but what an ugly representation it would be for those teams! An ugly lumpy grenade-looking blob with no flat surface for a helmet decal.

Sorry, I wrote the above before looking closely at the MIT design from this year. MIT's 'guardian caps' (or whatever they call it) do seem to have some relatively flat surfaces. That could both simplify things or complicate things, not sure which...
