So I noticed in the third photograph that there is what appears to be a size specified on a sticker on the back side of the helmet. It reads "HC 40 6 3/8 - 6 1/2 EX SMALL". I don't know how football helmets were sized when this one was used but would there be college football players using "EX SMALL" helmets, or is this more likely for kids?

Measuring my own head I came up with 24" circumference = 7.63" average diameter, so assuming that "6 1/2" is also a diameter, maybe this is a small helmet?
