Charles - Just wondering if you are going to post what looks to be that last helmet to complete the World Football League page . Ian Winton pretty much explained what the Sept 19th helmet was. We know they played their first game in Shreveport without a logo and then added the "S" at some point to finish the season. Just curious :)

Sorry, that one must have slipped my mind (along with a thousand other things, lol).

I believe I had been trying to find a clear photograph of the Steamer helmet with the "S" logo and unfortunately there don't seem to be any in existence. The best photographs I've found seem to imply (or at least not rule out) the possibility that the "S" was slightly angled or 'italic':

Which is not the case with the alleged logo:

Finally I found a decent photograph of the 1974 helmet which I think will enable me to add that one to the website:

your recent addition for Charlotte Hornets (black helmet white C) should be 1974 not 1975
