Last night Florida Atlantic (J) walloped Akron (T) in the Owls' de facto home bowl. One bowl will occur today and tomorrow before we get a multiple-bowl day again.

The American Athletic and Conference USA representatives split the results of the last two bowls played.

Wednesday's Frisco Bowl had Louisiana Tech (G) pounding Southern Methodist (A1), and the next day's newly named Gasparilla Bowl in Saint Petersburg had a new design for Temple (U=“L” with a cherry mask, http://owlsports.com/galleries/?gallery=3093) in its win over Florida International (B), arrr.
