Subject: Helms not the problem
In reply to: Grumpy Bear 93 's message, "The buck stops on Kampe's desk, PERIOD!" on 19:41:53 02/11/04 Wed

He wasn't the problem last year when the team played well, was he? The coach has the final say, not Mike Helms. The kid is a student athlete, not a 20-year tenured head coach. Blame the guy who gets paid, not the guy who's playing for free.

The bottom line is Helms is a tremendous talent, and is the only player confident enough on this team to take the tough shots. Everyone stands around because they're afraid, and because that's the way they're coached.

Mark my word: This team will be a lot worse without Helms. He is the scapegoat because everyone else is a Kampe slappy.
