ATTENTION DIXIE: Is The Cause Worth Fighting For?

On Wednesday, October 30, 2002 I received a press release from "The Truth Newspaper" about H. K. Edgerton's March Across Dixie. It reported a desperate need for funds to keep the van, which follows this southern warrior, on the road and in working condition. There is also the speculation as to how far this march can actually go without financial support.

So, why has it come to this?

No one dare say this, so I will: A network of people who's symbol is falsely equated to a swastika may soon be accused of living up to their false accusations - by leaving a black man to walk alone - with little or no support. Fortunately,
with a show of ultimate resolve, Edgerton said "he would crawl to Texas if he had too". Still, in Alabama they will re-evaluate "The March Across Dixie".

How many will crawl with him?

Edgerton is doing what many other only wish they could do - carrying the message of Southern heritage across the South, which in itself spits in the face of "heritage haters", and puts a meaningful discussion of Southern Heritage and
its symbols on the table in a public forum. And what better group of people to be involved than Black Americans themselves, who need to be educated on the truth. Frankly, I can't think of a better way.

"Hey Black People! There's a Black Man Marching Across Dixie - maybe through your town. Find out why!"

Any man - any woman - any Real American who believes in proudly waving the Confederate Banner, but feels the attacks on Southerners have gone too far, should not only support the March Across Dixie, but should be part of it. H. K. needs more than just a van - he needs people.

This is not even meant to be a pitch for cash, but for more support. Dixie, write your local paper. Call your local talk show. Tell them what's going on. Southern Organizations should not hesitate to join in! There is more at stake here than just control of the U.S. Senate in the coming days. It's about the preservation of something we all hold much more dear. It is an opportunity to make a difference that doesn't come along every day. Don't allow apathy or anything else to let this opportunity slip away.

From Ron Holland: Immediate Contribution Request - H. K. is on the edge of Atlanta and, while he appreciates the many pledges which have been promised for the march, he needs some cash in hand now to pay current expenses on the van following him. Please take the time to click on "Please Make A Financial Contribution" and write out a tax deductible check for any amount and send it in today!

From R. W. Moore:

People, H. K. may be our very last hope to fight off the encroachment on our southern freedoms and liberties. If "we the people" allow this [cancellation of the march] to happen you have no excuse when they say you cannot fly your flag, have a bumper sticker, vote for the person of your choice, wear your Confederate clothing, and do as you please with your life. H. K. Edgerton, is down in the trenches for us. How many black men - or white for that matter - would march 1,385 miles for our cause?. Ask yourself: would you? Ask yourself: do you really care about our southern way of life? What is your way of life worth?
