Love Me But A Moment
Love me but a moment.
Lead me down into an unknown valley.
I will unquestioningly follow.
Speak to me gently,
care to me kindly.
Only love me but a moment.
I will lead where you wish to go,
give you the cloak off my shoulders,
protect you from the cold of night.
Yet, love me but a moment.
When the road and wind are at our backs,
draw your sword as you please.
Slay me
beat me
hate me
hurt me
leave me in the cold.
All the pains would be worth it
for but a moment that you would love me.

Sonnet
The snow falls softly in her hair,
white upon featherly wings of the hawk.
So often do the flakes fall there,
leaving me and all to gawk.

Does she know what spell she casts?
With a look, a gesture, stance...
such a moment becomes long and lasts.
But tis not her form that sends the world to trances.

Her soul is a tempest, a thundering typhoon.
With every day work she gives her all,
when will it be? Years from now? Soon?
When my efforts will not appall.

Endless Night
So often I'm lost in dreams
the haze of night
and happy thoughts veil everything else.

I am caught in the spell of my own longing.
Bedazzled by the reflection of the moon on the lake.
Would it be such a sin to wish to never wake
to never feel the cold touch of the morn?
