Subject: Force about to Chill out for a while...

Nicole Branagh led the Minnesota Chill to a 3-2 victory over the Grand Rapids Force in Rochester, MN, last night. The loss puts Grand Rapids on the brink of elimination. The Force hosts Minnesota Sunday afternoon for a shot at extending the best-of-three first round series until Wednesday. The "If" game would be played Wednesday night in Rochester. The set scores were 25-21, 20-25, 25-21, 18-25, 15-9. Branagh led all scorers with 19 points (16 kills, 1 block, and 2 aces). There is no word as yet on how the immortal Addie Mahnken fared.

Chicago and St. Louis tangle tonight in the other first round series.
