Subject: Loss to USU Ends A Good Year

Pacific lost last night, 69-65, to Utah State in a game that was decided by Aggie free throws and offensive rebounds. The Tigers played well, but didn't hit enough outside shots to beat the rugged Aggies. UCSB beat UCI in another close semifinal game. The four teams in the Big West semis could play on four different weekends and you might end up with four different winners. They were all fun teams to watch.

Eight Tigers ended their careers and bowed out in style. The Nebraska guys enjoyed outstanding careers and the JC transfers were fine players who proved they could play bigtime Division I ball.

It would have been nice to make post-season play and Pacific might have if it had done better in the conference regular season and secured a better seeding.

Now it's on to recruiting and scheduling. That's discussion for another time.
