Subject: Chill Finishing With a Bang

The Minnesota Chill have indeed broken out of their mid-season slump. Last night, they swept the cellar-dwelling Grand Rapids Force in Grand Rapids 3-0 (23, 22, 23). In doing so, the Chill improved to 11-5, while the so-called Force fell to 4-12. Minnesota's famous libero, the immortal Addie Mahnken from UOP, contributed 9 digs.

With two games left, the Chill are leading in most of the statistical categories. Nicole Branagh is third in total points with 264 (16.5 avg) and second in total kills with 226 (14.1 avg), trailing Kristee Porter of Chicago in both categories. While Benishe Roberts of St. Louis leads in blocks, Minnesota's Wiz Bachman is not far behind in second with 54 blocks (3.4 avg). Lindsey Berg of the Chill leads in both aces (35, 2.2 avg), and set assists (691, 43.2 avg). Naturally, the dig category continues to be led by the awesome Addie Mahnken with 213, for a 13.3 avg.

Minnesota's home finale comes next Sunday, April 14 at 3 against second place Chicago Thunder. The Chill finish up Tuesday, April 16, at 7 in Grand Rapids against the lowly Force.

GO ADDIE!!! GO TIGERS!!! GO CHILL!!!
