Subject: Tigers Take Big West Crown

The Tigers finally defeated their arch-nemesis UCSB to win the Big West Men's and Women's Swimming Title today after 23 years!

"Pacific ended the 23-year reign of UC Santa Barbara on Saturday night at the Big West Conference Men's and Women's Swimming & Diving Championships. The Tigers men's team placed first in the team championship and won all relays, which brought an end to the NCAA and Big West record run by the Gauchos. The Pacific women's team also finished in first, outscoring second-place UC Santa Barbara by 112 points.

Pacific Head Coach Ray Looze was named the Big West Coach of the Year for both the men and women. Pacific's Sarah Marshall was selected as the Female Swimmer of the Year while teammate Filip Wronski was named the Male Swimmer of the Year."
