Subject: Girls come out of tailspin

It was amazing. I figured that the Lady Tigers would come out steamed after losing a close one to Long Beach. I didn't know how right I was. Selena Ho was hitting everything in sight while Gillian d'Hondt and Andrea Nederostek were plugging the middle like nose tackles. UC Irvine did not get into a rhythm all night and got almost nothing in the paint. Ho got her usual 17 or so, while Andrea chipped in about a half dozen. This all went to give UOP a huge double-digit victory on the road. It did come at some cost, however, as Adam Jacobsen-wanna-be Nancy Dinges came down with a sprained ankle in the first half. She told me after the game, though, that she'll be good as new for the tournament. That's great news, since we'll need her outside marksmanship (or is it markswomanship?) ;-) in Anaheim. This was an interesting game since Irvine had a big-time sub who should have been UOP property in Lisa Woznick. She is a former Flame, and that in itself should have been enough to get us to recruit her. I just mention this because her dad was at the game, and he teaches at Washington Elementary in Lodi, which is my grade school. Anyways, we kicked some Anteater tail, and that bodes well going into Anaheim. I'll try to be there, and if I am, as usual, you'll know me by the orange-and-black facepaint; instead of rooting for the immortal Hauschild sisters who play volleball, I'll be painted up for the awesome Andrea Nederostek. See ya there.
