Subject: Modification du nom du GAPES

Bonjour,

Le conseil d'administration du GAPES s'est prononcé favorablement sur la proposition de résolution visant à modifier le nom du GAPES. L'acronyme «GAPES» ne change pas mais il est désormais accompagné de «Montréal» pour nous distinguer des autres groupes de policiers qui utilisent aussi le mot GAPES.

L'autre modification au nom du GAPES/Montréal est l'ajout du mot policier dans le nom au long. Nous nous appelions Groupe d'action pour l'équité et l'égalité salariale. Nous sommes désormais le groupe d'action policier pour l'équité et l'égalité salariale.

Cette nouvelle identitification clarifie la composition et le rôle des GAPES des différents services de police qui souscrivent également aux principes d'identification visuelle mentionnés ci-dessus en faisant les adaptations requises (GAPES/Joliette, GAPES/Sherbrooke et GAPES/Montréal).
