Subject: Sin is an addiction

Almighty Lord Jesus

My hands tremble as I type & I pray the Holy Spirit fills my heart. Lord, my sin is an addiction I am powerless to stop on my own. I pray to you that in all your grace and mercy you will forgive me and help my life to better reflect your command. I know my my pain does not even come close to the suffering you endured on the cross, but I pray this cup be taken from me if there is any other way. The sins of the flesh weigh heavy on my mind and soul, robbing me of the joy in my heart. I know all the hairs on my head are numbered, Lord and I cannot begin to know your plan for me. Please show me the way and bless my family as they deserve so much more than I have been able to provide. Please God, if it is your will help me to be the man I wish to be. Help me to be the husband my wife deserves. Help me to be the father my children have never known.

It is only by your grace and command I am able to lift these to you, Lord.
