Actually...you will have some very good options in the Portland area...not so sure about Acadia.

Are you strict vegetarian? Or just kinda?

There are two veggie restaurants that come to mind...I've not eaten at either (I'm a carnivore:)) but they get very g
good reviews.

The Green Elephant is supposed to be excellent...some carnivore friends were surprised at how much they enjoyed it.

We just ate at a sister restaurant by the same owners that is vegetarian friendly...it was fantastic. Street Thai food...Boda. http://www.bodamaine.com/

Also...Pepper Club is a vegetarian restaurant that has been around forever here...
