You know the one that was going to bring oil into the USA from Canada? Or how's about the moratorium on any drilling whatsoever in the Gulf (AFTER it was a total mess and had been a total mess for months and with no government aid whatsoever for months while it leaked and trashed the Gulf) Then there's the restrictions on any new refineries being built.

And then my more personal bone to pick with the Prez when I wrote him shortly after his inauguration and BEGGED him to address the subject of oil speculators and suggested my own cure of making people who purchase options on oil or gas prove that they could actually receive delivery on any options contracts they wrote thus preserving the options market original intent of allowing transportation companies, etc. to mitigate business risk. Said missive was dutifully acknowledged by appropriate peons and duly ignored.

Now that re-election prospects are dimmiong it would seem Obama is becoming more interested and hey it only took a few years of $3 a gallon weighing our economy down for him to get there. It wasn't important when the peons were suffering you see, but when it threatens the ONE WAY ONE's re-election than it will be another matter don't you know?
