It must have been on CNN where they're apparently talking about a similar segment "3 hours ago" in his "last appearance on TV" with Piers Morgan. He says he's more "aerodynamic" or something and the shaggy beard is gone too.

He was darker-looking like some kind of mountain man Brad Garrett with maybe a case of the flu. He still looks a little wild-eyed even more than normal for just sitting there, here:
