not only did I not blame him for going for it on fourth down, I was wondering why the fuck he didn't think of it in the first place? He sent out the punt team initially but then Houston called the timeout or stupidly did a challenge of their own - which gave someone enough time to convince Marv to pull his head out of his ass and go for it.

Honestly, I'm not blaming Marv directly or solely for the loss. It was a total organizational effort (starting with MFB not springing for the cost of practicing in the bubble). As you noted, we needed to make a play or two to extend that second quarter lead and we didn't. We then needed to make play or two in the third quarter to reverse the momentum and we couldn't do that either. We were a team on the ropes and we got knocked out.

Regarding Marvin, though...I had allowed myself to get sucked into the PR spin that Marv's biggest problems were the TOs, Ochos and other headcases. Saturday reminded me that Marv has been and is part of the problem too.
