i typically wouldn't have much faith in that the whole principle of this team developing a player to maximize potential, but something about gruden has me believing. the fact that he turned down one interview to stick with the bengals and, according to profootballtalk, he turned down a chance to interview with the colts. it is hard not to respect his willingness to stick around and show the team some appreciation for taking a chance on him. i wasn't a believer and certainly was critical of the selection cosidering he had no real nfl experience to speak of and we were going into the lock out, but i will give him his due.

to address your post more directly, i love what new england does with the two tight end sets. it is a match up nightmare for teams. i will be sorely upset if this team doesn't address the secondary (or walk with a REAL playmaker on defense) and offensive line, but i would totally fine with them taking a gamble or bringing in a free agent tight end to give gruden something to tinker with on offense.

take care of yourselves,

chamberlain
