... where her number might have already come up under different circumstances and i can't say that it was in any way a shock. in fact, if that trachea thing had happened at home instead of in the hospital that would have already been it.

going through borderline Tammy's extreme experience with her brother's tragic demise a couple of years ago has apparently hardened my heart a little to death in general, i guess. my Grandmother (she's 86 now) seems to be taking it hardest for now, as Mom's little brother (6 years younger) also recently passed on from a heart attack 3 springs ago. My Aunt Lou's (6 years older than Mom) husband also died from cancer a year and a half ago, so she's dealt with quite a lot of this recently.
