A few weeks ago I saw a special on Germany's Autobahn - commissioned by Mr. Politically incorrect himself -- Adolph Hitler.

To this day the original sections of road are still operating -- evidently Adolph wanted the road to be strong enough to have tanks rolling over it at great speed. In order to accomodate his desires the road was made of asphalt a full 8 inches thick.

By way of contrast, the American Highway system -- which was patterned after Hitler's work in Germany only uses 4 inches of asphalt and of course needs constant repair.

Then more recently Kathleen Sibelius, a Kansas democrat running for governor made a particularly grievous albeit humrous remark to the effect that she was more scared of driving on the roads of Missouri than of terrorists -- this to push for taxes for road improvement in Kansas I suppose.

This was particularly humorous to me for two reasons...

1) Missouri has a Democrat for a governor

2) The roads of Missouri do SUCK to the nth degree.

Unfortunately for Ms. Sibelius the father of one of the guys killed on 911 didn't appreciate her comments much (felt like it undermined the death of his son etc. and delivered some pretty devastating shots at her.

Anyway, we are dealing with the brain of a loonie here, but what came to my mind yesterday is that Sebelius' Republican opponent (being the good Nazi all we right wingers are) should propose that Kansas use prison laborers to bring the roads of Kansas up to the Autobahn standard.

That kind of work should wear those guys out without letting them bulk up too much and of course I feel like the state deserves something in return for paying people's room and board. Maybe we could even go so far as to put at least some Welfare folks to work on the highway system too. There was that politically incorrect enough for today?
