I've been busy catching up on my Mom.

She's been having terrible shortness of breath and chest pain, but her heart checked out fine the last time they did a cardiac cath on her. A couple of weeks ago she went back out to St. Louis to have what we thought would be a routine check. We knew she had some blockage, but the doctor said he didn't want to do anything till she had more blockage.

So anyway, she had the cardiac cath done again and when they did it this time, they found a small rupture in one of her arteries along with the blockage. This time, they decided it was serious and asked her if she wanted them to do the angioplasty while they were already in their and she said yes. They put in a stint which for us non-nurse types is basically a metal screen to hold the blood vessels open.

Anyway I hustled out there to see her as soon as I knew about what had happened and have been travelling back and forth quite a bit since then. Not to worry though, Mom's doing great and seems much better already.

She's finishing up 2 weeks of so called bed rest (ha try to keep her down) while staying with my sister. She gets to fly the coop, Friday. On top of that...

I've been seriously considering trying to buy this old (would adding the adjective "defunct" be redundant?) bowling center in a little town out this way.

I'm currently in the process of developing and setting up what I hope will be a great survey to determine whether or not I can actually make some money and pay the bills if I do it.

I love bowling and rather hate selling insurance so if it does work out to where I can do it -- wow it would be great and of course you guys are all invited to bowl free an drink my beer anytime if I get it done. So that's the basics...
