Subject: sorry, little slow on the uptake

you going to New Orleans for Thanksgiving? My wife and I met her sister and bro-in-law in Nawlins for Thanksgiving about 5/6 years ago. It was a hoot. We had a really good turkey day brunch -- wish I could remember the name of the place. It was on the main strip just off the water. We sat on the narrow deck -- just about two or three tables fit out there.

Also, if you are there through the weekend, you will be amazed at the dramatic change on Bourbon Street from Wednesday and Thursday to Friday. Early and mid-week is mostly white tourist families and the regular crowd of drunks. On Friday, Bourbon Street is taken over by college kids from Black universities there for the Grambling/Southern game. Quite a hoot. If you are there on Friday evening, stay away from words like "bigger" or "digger" -- I used one of those words and almost got my ass kicked!
