i believe i already mentioned he's originally from Texass.

he has waaaay more big schools recruiting against him head-to-head in Texas, too, whereas if UK keeps showing improvement they can lock up a good percentage of everyone they want from Kentucky (big whoop, i know, but we get a few gems here every year and you can only recruit so many), plus we seem to do okay in Florida, as well as in Ohio, Pennsylvania, Michigan and West Virginia and Mumme and Morriss also seemed to get guys here from Texas, although that may fall down some there now ... depending.

and although football here will never be bigger than UK baskets, we routinely put over 70K+ in the seats in the recently expanded and newly luxury-suited Commonwealth Stadium if the team is close to even average.

not quite sure of what to make of the remark
"UK is no UNC", either, whether it was intended tongue-in-butt-cheek or serious or football vs basketball or both combined or what, lol. however and surely i'm taking that as a compliment!

and i have no illusions that what any of these guys in sports say is the truth ... rather they seem to deny anything that is asked of them when discussing potential job prospects (or pretty much anything else, for that matter).
