and I didn't take anywhere near as seriously the first time I read it. I gradually got more and more interested in political theory as college went on, enough so that I toyed with the idea of pursuing a PhD or joint PhD/JD for political theory.

That's actually the path my little bro is heading in. He's currently in a one year masters program at University of Chicago doing political theory/philosophy (I think it's termed a "social science" masters or somesuch) and he's applying to the University of Virginia PhD program in political theory for next year. His soon to be fiancee (he's popping the question tomorrow night!) Is in the History PhD program there.

BTW, here's a link to the Roe v. Wade decision if you're curious. It's not that long in the scheme of things (especially considering how much controversy it has spawned)...but it's long enough.
