Subject: Smelly Jellies

Smelly Jellies are gel air fresheners in jars that you set around for some frangrance. It evaporates over time. Bath & Body Works sells them in their stores but they are soooo easy to make that it's almost a crime to buy them!! Here's the directions if interested! :)

Ingredients:
~4 packets of Knox gelatin (this is normally one box)
~2 cups liquid potpourri
Vodka

Directions:
Boil 1 cup potpourri on stove. Add all the Knox and stir til dissolved. Add the last cup of room temp. potpourri and mix well. Pour into whatever container you'd like add a few drops of vodka to each jar so they won't mold , and let set overnight!

PS: This recipe does not make very much...like 2 small jars. I found it helped me to go to Wal-Mart and buy big jugs of liquid potpourri and also a huge box of Knox (32-34 packets). It was much more convenient and economic since I made about 20 of these up! Just a thought!

Ta-Da...nothing to it! :) I used jelly jars for mine. I also decorated them up--I put a circle of lace over the round top, then put the ring lid on so that you could remove the lid and put the ring back on so the fragrance could escape and still look nice. I also cut a larger circle with my pinking shears out of Christmas fabric and put over the entire lid and tied with matching ribbon. I threaded a small note/tag through the ribbon that said, "Smelly Jelly--do not eat!!" and explained what they were. Hope this all makes sense! Thanks.
