Peel and dice up about 8 large potatoes fill pot with water to cover potatoes.Add a chopped onion or you could use the green onions stem and all, three chicken boullion cubes, salt, pepper and sometimes a pinch of garlic powder.
Cook these ingredients until potatoes are tender.
In the mean while mix in a 2 cup measuring cup about 1/2 cup of flour and gradually stir hot water to achieve a smooth mixture. When potatoes are tender add the flour mixture to the potatoes and stir frequently until mixture thickens if it is too thick gradually add more hot water until it is the thickness you desire.Bacon and cheese can be added as desired.
