Subject: About that First Date

The ep entitled "First Date" tied up a few loose ends and created a few new ones. But first, let me say that we've had politicians who could read off the teleprompter better than Ashanti (Al Gore maybe?). Don't give up your day job or night job.
She is easy on the eyes ... until they start glowing. They should have beheaded her 10 seconds into the lumberyard scene. Yeccchhh!!!
I guess the whole Xander and the demon thing was to set up the Wood/Spike storyline.
Speaking of yeccchhh!!! -- what's with gay Andrew making the subtle moves on my Dawn -- or is it the other way around. Puh-leaze, let's not go there. Maybe it's my imagination (or maybe I'm a bit jealous).
I'm still waiting for the next five eps to play out.
Now that the writers have remembered Xander's importance to the show, now maybe they could do the same for Dawn.
She is still the Key (I'm stuck in a loop aren't I?). She is potentially the most powerful entity of the Scoobies -- Willow , Buffy and Spike notwithstanding -- because of the unlimited power she possesses. Maybe she is the Key to taking down the First.
Right now, Dawn is content to being a loyal role player. I would think that Buffy is smart enough to realize that if Dawn could harness the power she has tucked away for the last 35 episodes, this thing could be over.
She also could be the solution to what's going on in LA.
That's my rant today.
