Subject: arthroscopic surgery

Hi I am almost 48 yrs. had polio at age 2, spent a lot of
time at Shriners Hosp. in Portland Ore. Managed very well
till more recently, when I had the knee surgery in Sept. and
it's not improving. I didnt need physical assistance but now use a cane, and I'm still really wobbly. I think I
need a knee brace and am scared I'll soon be in a wheelchair. I quit work in 1986 and that helped immensely, I could rest when necessary etc. Now this, I'm scared I won't
be independent anymore. I have a wonderful husband who helps me with everything but I don't feel good about asking
for so much help. Anyone relate to this?
