Well.. if you own a horse you pretty much have no choice, especially with young horses... you have to branch that energy off somewhere.. might as well put them to work. And they enjoy it.

My beloved mutt 'Alfie' can...
back up, crawl forward, crawl backward, speak, bow, gimme five (paw),'bench' (sit with forefeet off ground), stand up (full height on hind legs), then all the regular stuff.. sit stay, etc.
He also made a game up himself that is like soccer.. he holds a tug rope in his mouth and bops a his tennis ball around with his feet. I 'think' the rope is either to keep him from picking the ball up or maybe to serve as an extra appendage to hit the ball with... he even hits it with both front and hind feet.
