I'm so overreacting.

But... As beautiful as this episode was, as much as I loved it, as much as her tragedy was completely believable and her redemption and apology and *soul* were real...

I can't help feel that Joss is only doing this to mirror his 'vampires ARE good!' shtick and give the redemptionistas even MORE to smile about.

I know, I'm horrible; Joss's revisionistic redemption has tainted all views of redemption for me, making even realistic character peril seem nothing more than a ploy! I've gone insane, I know, but I was *hysterical* when I saw Darla dust herself. I just... I don't know... I don't want her to be gone. And I wish I could feel more secure in my beliefs that she *was* given a respectful end, you know?

Because right now I kind of feel that she wasn't-- but I honestly can't tell.

I guess I'll come back tomorrow when I'm a little more 'in control'-- I just posted a whole lot of crap over at Spike&Dru about this episode, if anyone wants to read it.

I'm insanely emotional right now, and should be avoided at all costs. :*-/
