Subject: tooth issue

Hello to all. Can the squirrels teeth be filed down manually? Way back when I had an issue with Bubbles tooth, then I thought it was a sunflower shell. Well, I finally got a good look at her today and her tooth is really long. She has had some other issues; not wanting to come out of her sock or cage, but she has started to come out again. Can I file it down or hope she starts to take care of it? We don't have any vets in the area that take care of "exotics", checked once before when I needed Zoey to be seen. She seems to be eating well, eats her pecans, bugs, fruit/veggies; I'm just worried about it curling around and growing into the bottom jaw.
