She humbly lowered her delicately sculpted cranium in response to his kindness, unobtrusively signifying her gratitude and thankfulness. Cause and effect, life was governed by these two intermittent principles. He had displayed an undeniable source of benevolence and she, in turn, had been affected by it. And as such, she had felt an obligation to uphold his joviality by returning it in much the same manner. Thus marked the beginning of a continuous and unrelenting cycle. Each one of them present here had a role to play, and each one of them was expected to fulfill it. If one part of the puzzle was not in order or was missing, the picture could not be completed. Our lives, and the world around us remains an intricately linked and delicately balanced scale of positives and negatives. If these scales were tipped, even slightly, in either direction, the effect would be both devastating and incredulous. But in order for the aftereffect to live and perhaps, potentially thrive, something or someone needs to cause it.
“Please forgive me if I come off sounding presumptuous, but where is it that you hail from exactly? And what made you decide to depart from those lands so that you might partake in a life here, in Destiny Falls? Not that I disapprove of or for that matter, dislike your companionship. I am merely asking. And hoping that you will be able to provide me with an answer.”
