If it is low fuel pressure, fairly common causes would be a leaky fuel pump check valve or leaking fuel injectors. A fuel rail pressure guage is a low cost (under $50) investment that would help diagnose and maintain fuel system performance. I'm not an expert but my appoach would be do the guage, confirm warm pressure loss after engine shut-off (factory manuals have a time to pressure spec).If it is pressure related, replace the check valve and run some technron through the system. Re-check pressure loss immediatly and after a week or a tank of gas (which ever is longer).
