Thanks to all for your input. My problem seems to be the long button (pilot light) will not light up, so the setting procedure does not initiate. I bought the new switch, and the problem is the same. Seems to be a deeper issue. Thanks again for the help. I'll fiddle with it some more, but seems to be a gremlin deeper in the system.
