Nicole, your right on the button when it comes to high maintenance / hazyness of polished wheels over time. I have polished rims on one of my superbikes and that's exactly what happened to them - gone hazy over the last 2 years even though I've maintained them well. Happened to a number of my friends' bikes as well.

I'm going back to coated rims on my bikes now. Much less fuss and with the right color it even looks better than polished rims. My 2c plus change...
