The wheels on the black car look like chromed wheels to me. Based on what I've heard from my friends at Porsche, I would not even consider chroming an aftermarket wheel. Supposedly, the chroming process weakens the wheel, and the chroming is not very corrosion resistant (important, if you live in a cold and/or damp area). That's probably why you don't see any chromed wheels in Germany... The only wheel I'd consider chroming on a 928 is the forged flat dish - because it's probably the strongest wheel for the 928 to begin with.

I am not sure, if I'd want polished wheels either. The paint protects your wheel against moisture, salt, etc. I have seen so many polished wheels that have gone hazy - it just seems like a lot of work to keep them nice.

I, too, don't like chromed wheels on red cars. For me, this only worksk on really dark colors. I think your car is beautiful as it is, and does not need additional "show effects".
